Eligibility Criteria ICG
Candidates must carefully review the eligibility criteria regarding educational qualifications and age limits before proceeding with the application.
Educational Qualification
- Navik (General Duty): Must have passed Class 12th with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
- Navik (Domestic Branch): Must have passed Class 10th from an education board recognized by COBSE.
- Yantrik: Must have passed Class 10th from a COBSE-recognized board And hold a 3 or 4-year Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
- OR Passed Class 10th and 12th from a COBSE-recognized board And a 2 or 3-year Diploma in the aforementioned engineering streams approved by AICTE
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 22 Years
Indian Coast Guard Salary and Benefits

Pay Scale
- Navik (General Duty & Domestic Branch): Basic Pay of ₹21,700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting.
- Yantrik: Basic Pay of ₹29,200/- (Pay Level-5). In addition, a Yantrik Pay of ₹6,200/- will be provided, along with Dearness Allowance and other allowances
