Key Responsibilities

1. Token Issuance and Fare Collection

Issue metro tokens and smart cards by operating both manual counters and electronic machines.

Inform passengers of the metro fare policies and available travel cards as well as how to recharge those cards.

At the end of each shift, tokens and transactions should be balanced.

Ensure operating token stock is maintained, as well as the operating stationery.

2. Passenger Support and Customer Service

Give courteous and accurate assistance in the use of routes, arrival and departure schedules, platform directions, and travel regulations.

Provide assistance to senior citizens, disabled persons, and tourists as needed for particular travel arrangements.

Handle all passenger complaints in a respectful manner, and when necessary, provide them to the Station Controller for further review.

3. Cash Handling and Digital Transactions

Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding cash in order to protect the revenue collected.

4. Safety, Security \& Compliance

Make sure all users are following the rules while using the metro, such as using the entry/exit gates, and following the safety and no-smoking measures in place.

Make sure to look for any security issues and notify the station staff if you spot any security risks.

Protect the order and cleanliness around the Token Counters and all areas where Employees interact with the Public.

5. Technical Operations \& Troubleshooting

Do your best to troubleshoot issues with Ticket Vending Machines, POS systems, and access gate devices.

Be sure to notify the Operations team as soon as you notice any system errors or broken hardware.

After machines have been repaired or had their software updated, help in the testing of those machines.

Skills & Competencies Required

Basic verbal communication skills in English and in the local the language

Basic cash-handling and math skills

Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, respectful, and patient manner

Ability to stay focused and remain calm while completing a number of tasks, especially during busy hours

Basic computer skills, including knowledge of ticketing software

Strict adherence to your schedule with no absences, and the ability to closely follow SOPs

You must be physically fit enough to stand for long periods and complete shifts

Educational Qualification

Minimum of a High School diploma.

Preferred to have a Diploma/Graduate degree in any field.

Having a customer service or ticketing certification are considered a plus.

Experience Requirements

While those with no previous work experience are encouraged to apply, experience in customer service, retail, or the public transport system is beneficial.
